# General
In this article you will learn how to manage the events of your project. Events can be for example lectures, guided tours, but also hiking tips.
The event overview (menu item:
) first shows you all events, that are currently assigned to the current project. You can search for events in the search field. To do this, you can search for parts of the name or for the event location (site).
Upper and lower case are not considered here. To start the search process, press the SEARCH
button.
Tip:
- Additionally, you can filter the event titles by long titles and locations (sites).
- Filtering can be helpful if you want to search specifically for events that may appear on the display of the Tourist-Points could possibly lead to line breaks or overflows.
The overview can be additionally filtered by main events (hide sub-events
).
You can learn more about main and sub-events in this section.
All filters or search entries can be deleted with the button RESET
.
After that all events will be displayed again.
The events are sorted alphabetically descending by their names. You can change the sorting order using the up/down arrows.
Note that you can navigate through the hit list using the <
or >
icons,
to list more events under the given search criteria.
# Create event
You can add a new event by clicking on the +
button in the bottom right corner.
A new view will open for entering the data:
For each event you need to enter the following data:
- identifier with which you can uniquely identify the event.
- title of your events, which should be prominently displayed on the Tourist-Point.
- Description to be displayed for your event.
Tip:

- Location (Location) where your event takes place.
- start and end date of your event.
- Event grouping allows, if you want to use a layout element of type
Event lane
, to display several events compactly one below the other on the Tourist-Point. For this purpose a special input sequence is necessary. Contact (opens new window) our support team for more details. - In the Event Type drop-down list, you can choose from several preconfigured types.
- in the status selection list you could choose if the event will take place as planned.
Therefore,

. If the event does not take place, selectCancelled
. - In the input field Note on status you can enter a text, which should be displayed to your guests in case of a postponed or cancelled event.

Tourist-Point offers you the status selection list for this purpose. If an event has been canceled, this change is visibly updated immediately on Tourist-Point and your guests are informed.
Tip:
If you want the event title, description, location or status note not only in German,
but also in a second language (SL), you can enter this information under

, Description (SL)
, Location (SL)

However, you can first save the event using the STORE
button and continue at a later time.

# Assign or reset image

# Sub-events
# Create
Your program may provide for a main event to which several sub-events are assigned. An example of this is a lecture series for which a contact person from the local tourism association is available. This lecture series (main event) is then assigned several lectures with different speakers.
Tourist-Point supports you in mapping such assignments.
First go to the detailed view of the event that is to be your main event.
To do this, select an event in the overview and this will take you to the detailed view.
With a click on the +
in the upper right corner (see picture), you open the dialog to create a new child event.
This works analogously as described in the section Create new event.
# Assign
Once the sub-event has been successfully created, it will appear on the right side of the Assigned
selection list.
If you want to remove this assignment, select the event in the selection list and move it to another location by clicking on
. In the opposite case you can move an event by clicking on again.Notice:
You have a large program with many main and sub-events and Don't want to create everything manually? We offer custom-made importers for your data format, with which you can automate your data stock into the Tourist-Point management system.
